Since my DLSR camera is not able to record videos I have always been forced to do stop motions. I love stop motion, because it allows me to do anything I make up, even things which are impossible to shoot with a video camera.
Real vs Unreal guy
• The same guy by the way - my friend who loves riding any kind of bike and bike is his main means of transport..
Park setup (Real)
• The sequence photoshooting in park was a lot easier than in the woods section, mainly because of the flat terrain. I used my analogue camera for shooting, then developed the B&W film and scanned the photos.
Bicycle Motion (Real)
• The result is 12 Muybridge-like motion photographs. Those are the same as I used in the real sequence.
Trail setup (Unreal)
• I know my phone camera sucks, but it was the only thing I had to capture this "Unreal" photoshoot setup I made at our trail. I used my digital camera (Olympus E3) to shoot this sequence. With 3 exposures per second I had more chances to catch the rider in the right moment.
MTB motion
• The result is 64 motion photograps. It was very exausthing for the rider, he had to push his bike up the hill every time I made one phase for the sequence. Later I edited the RAW photos and opened them in Squirlz Morph free software where I made the animation.
