Perfect! I'm just about to dive into a WC air rebuild and service, this is exactly what I needed to see!! One thing, I find the WC air plush but for my frame it lacks a little LSC, so my plan was to mod the compression shim stack a little bit, either add a small amount of preload to the stack or change the shims. Do you know what the hole dia for the shims is?

Continental Tires: Inside the Factory
I don't know which ones are the "asian" tires and which are not, but I quite enjoy tires like the diesel, and the non black chili RQ etc, ofcourse the black chili versions are much better, but they just get torn up so quickly on the open granite here. The traction on the cheaper ones on wet roots etc are not as good, but they last longer and roll almost as quick. I find their performance to be on par with the 60a single ply minions for example. Quite interested in seeing what the cheap baron is going to be like. Maybe its a matter of what you are expecting...

Tech Tuesday - RockShox Vivid Air Tuning
If the beginning stroke rebound affects the first 25% and the ending the final 75%, aren't you always in the "end stroke rebound" if you are saged to 30%? This the beginning stroke rebound would only affect those moments you are unloaded a bit?

Dainese Oak Pro Aluminum Knee Pads - Eurobike 2011
"The pad's knee cup is made from aluminum. Why? Dainese wanted to use a material that would slide over rough surfaces, allowing you to better absorb the impact instead of stopping dead when you hit the ground." Aluminium being a relatively soft material actually generates a lot of friction when hitting things like rock/rough surfaces, its quite "sticky". Probably worse than some plastics. If they wanted to do this "low friction sliding thing", steel might be a better choice. A lot of plastics are also fairly soft, so will also grip due to deformation, but unlike ally, some plastics are self lubricating
