The Athlete & The Anachronism: A Five Day Bikepacking Trip With Rhys Verner & Margus Riga
@taprider: yeah I did some sussing on google earth, and it seems like the general route is Cline River -> Pinto Lake -> Upper Michelle Lake. Might have to check it out next season!

Do you have any rough beta on the route for this trip? Looks super rad, the David Thompson Corridor is a sweet area to explore.

[UPDATE] Adolf Silva Sustains Serious Spinal Injury Following Double Flip Crash at Rampage
I watched Paul Basagoitia‘s crash live and that was gut wrenching, but continued to watch the live feed because of the level of riding was so crazy. Few years later and watched TVS’s crash in 2021 and decided that there’s no way I can continue watching this event live. The level of riding is so high and there’s so much pressure with the live feed that someone is going to die on the broadcast one year. It’s hard enough reading about riders getting life changing injuries. Rampage always brings the best, but maybe it’s time to cut the live-program out of the event.
Give everyone a multi-day window to have their top to bottom line filmed, throw the clips online for everyone to see when the event is done. Having a live spectacle is going to kill someone.

Andreas Kolb Joins the Santa Cruz Syndicate
I’m sure someone has mentioned this before, but it would be rad if MTB could be like motorcross and assign riders a number for their career. Would allow for longevity of merch, build
up branding, and help with identifying riders in media during races.
