by The Fix Bikes
How many times have people asked about the Intense hardtail and when it will be available? 4 trillion? 5 kabillion? Since the answer is still unknown (other than the cryptic 'maybe in 2009' answer), how about some photos of JD Swanguen's bike?We grabbed JD at Sea Otter and pulled him aside to get some info on this mystery machine.

Mountain Bike Action, look out.

When asked about details, he didn't say much...

photo

Nifty head tube junction.

"What about geometry, JD?"
"Uh, I don't know, but it feels good," he says...

photo

This is where most Intense frames have a shock and pivots. Not this one.

"What about weight, JD?"
"Hmm, not sure. It's light though," he says...

photo

Form and function all in one.

"Will it be available to the public, JD?"
"I don't know, but I'm stoked I got one," he says...

photo

Stiff, stout rear end for the sprint.

"Is there anything that you actually know about the bike?"
"Yeah, you can't have one, right now," he mocks. Thanks JD! The jealousy has sprouted and is growing more everyday.

Engineered and not over-built...perfect for the MTX track

The bike looks identical to my p3. we had them side by side and it looks like a p3 knock off. It helps that my p3 is red just like jd;s and im sure tao got some footage and might put it in a video. The bike is cool but its not that special

the 4th picture makes the stancions on that manitou look tiny. Never been a fan of how intense bikes look, this one is alright I really like how the rear triangle is designed too.

  • 12
wow intense really has to come up with a new color sceam. I think everyone has to say that just red looks like crap compared to other bikes
