@bgoldstone: indeed but given that the HL field is primarily free-racers, could the event still be considered successful if held without DH pros? I am also thinking about how weather spoiled Red Bull’s Rampage yet again this year.

It’s true. This year, conditions were gnarly going into practice day, but it was bluebird for finals. I doubt that lightning strikes twice. And I gotta wonder if Hardline organizers are mulling that last weekend in September even if the event traditionally follows the end of the WC season.

I wanted to see the geo chart as well so I looked it up. If I am not mistaken, reach of the XL (my size) is 505 but is accomplished with a 60cm stem. Odd!

@BenPea: I recall a tale that Fabien ran his Stab’s brake link such that it wasn’t neutral, it in fact increased anti-rise (read: increased squat) so that the rear end of the bike would compress under braking to prevent the HA from getting steeper. Correct me if anyone knows better.
