really $4200USD is reasonably priced? ouch... so sad when bicycles are more expensive than motorbikes... guess I will keep riding my 2010 Transition Covert - considered an antique by todays standard... I still have as much fun as anyone on a new bike

this is your opinion - and its obviously wrong (pokes the bear) :-)
Existing trails should not be buffed for the masses - build new ones for Strarva Fred and the newbies. Personally I like old school trails and new school trails - as you say variety is good.
Also I dont think Lee is the trail builder on the above trail - I like the sign too.

First Ride - SRAM X1 Drivetrain
cool - but the hub upgrades and rear cog are still too expensive for me. I have converted to 1x10 with a 28 tooth narrow wide and 42 cog for under $200 - no regrets - awesome!
