This year it is the sixth time that the Swatch Rocket Air takes place and is once more offering a lot of activities and action. After the best riders from over 15 nations qualify on Friday and Saturday, the winner will be announced on Saturday evening. For the riders the prize money of over 10'000 CHF and important points in the Freeride Mountain Bike Worldtour is not the only reason why they like to come to Thun. “We love the atmosphere, the mountains, the lake and a bike event with great people and a perfect lineup," said one of the Spanish bikers. "People can see that the organizers love this sport!“

During the 10 days of build up, the crew takes care of each and every detail. This year the riders will perform their tricks while riding over old cars and even an airplane for this years theme 'junkyard.'

On Friday, before the slopestyle final, each nation will compete in the Teambattle. Last year, it was Team Canada who took the win. Again this year they're coming back to Thun with a great team and will do everything to hold on to their title as champions. Taking part in the slopestyle contest will be Sam Pilgrim, winner of 2013, as well as Thomas Genon, the winner of last year. The Canadian freerider, Geoff Gulevich and the American young gun, Nicholi Ragatkin will also be in Thun for their first time to compete in this year's event.

Besides the action in the ice rink there will be a lot of different activities taking place. In the Like-a-Bike race, 2-5 year old kids can try to make their rounds. Nearby, the grownups can compete on the Flying Metal Mobile Pumptrack. While the riders show their spins and flips inside of the ice rink, the showtime Wallscrapers do their tricks without any bikes. From a trampolin they jump onto a wooden wall to put on what is sure to be a spectacular show.
