Pinkbike Poll: What Bike Technology Advancements Do You Dream About?
A sealant that actually seals punctures. Sometimes I feel I could get better results filling my tire with almond milk.

Mar 10, 2026Felt AR Advanced
$1500 USD2025 Felt AR Advanced frame and fork, in the beautiful Bay Blue color. The frame was purchased new last year and has very few miles on it, less than 1000. Due to a recent back surgery, I can't really ride this frame anymore. Frame is in excellent shape with no real chips, scratches, cracks or any other blemishes. All it needs is wheels and a drivetrain. This all carbon aero road bike can be set up with wireless, wired, and even with cabled shifters (rare for a modern aero bike). It also has a built in chain catch. This frame is for someone approximately 5'10"-6'0" in height.
MSRP: $4,499
Aero-optimized for speed and designed to cheat the wind and for hardcore riding, the AR is a dynamic bike willing to go the distance with whatever you can throw its way, whether that's driving the breakaway or positioning yourself for the final sprint.
Includes:
Frame, fork and seatpost
Stem 90mm (with custom rainbow TI bolts from Better Bolts). I also have a 100mm stem, which I can swap out if you'd like more reach.
Out-front computer mount (Garmin)
Headset bearings and spacers
Bottom bracket in pictures is not included. Requires a 386EVO bottom bracket.
Easton EC70 Aero carbon Handlebars (42cm wide)
3D printed Garmin rear light seatpost mount
Cable guides are included if you want to set it up with a cabled drivetrain. Seatpost includes mount for a Shimano Di2 battery.
Geometry for a size 56 from the Felt website:
Top Tube Length: 560 mm
Seat Tube Length: 526 mm
Seat Tube Angle: 73.5 °
Head Tube Length: 150 mm
Steering Angle: 73.5 °
Chain Stay Length: 410 mm

A Closer Look at Faction's 32" Prototype XC Bike
Yes, they've skipped an iteration here. The 32" standard is meant for introduction in 2035. Profits are being missed.

A Closer Look at Faction's 32" Prototype XC Bike
It makes sense to me for larger riders. The fact that someone 6’7” and someone 5’3” would ride the same wheel size is kinda ridiculous, when we all know bike fit may be the most important factor to how well and how long you can ride.
You’d think it would be:
Size XL/XXL - 32”
Size M/L - 29”
Size XS/S - 27.5”
Kids - 26”

BLM Opens 200 Miles of Trails in Moab to Class 1 E-Bikes
Here's my problem with most e-bikes: If your e-bike has a throttle, and doesn't require pedaling to move, then you are driving a motorcycle. I know this specifies class-1, but people will just see "e-bikes" and ride their electric motorcycles on the trail at 40 mph, ripping turns, and destroying the single track. I see it all the time here in SoCal, and I've been almost run over a couple of times on blind turns. I'm fine with pedal assist, but that's not the majority of e-bikers in see on the trails.

YT Industries Lays Off Most Staff as Markus Flossmann Attempts to Buy Back the Brand
I think brands that manufacture their bikes in-house and distribute locally tend to operate more ethically. They rely on small, highly skilled labor forces and usually compensate them fairly. With fewer customers to serve, they can also provide more attentive support. Of course, there’s always the question of sourcing, where the steel, carbon, or aluminum comes from, and whether those materials are obtained responsibly. Still, for many of these smaller companies, the driving force is passion, not profit.
The problems begin when production is offshored, distribution becomes global, and every decision is made in pursuit of dollars. I doubt Trek or Santa Cruz were fully aware of the labor abuses tied to Giant’s factories. But I also doubt they wanted to know. The money was too good. That kind of willful ignorance is dangerous, and now it risks leaving a permanent mark on their reputations. When I hear names like Giant or Trek, I can’t help but think of exploited workers and the shady practices behind their success.

Jun 8, 2025Zipp 303S wheelset - XDR - disc brake
$750 USDPair of Zipp 303s Carbon wheels. There is a tiny amount of scratches from normal use. There's one small chip (pictured) on the fromt wheel, but it doesn't't affect the integrity of the wheels, just cosmetic. Freehub is XDR for Sram 12-speed, but Shimano or Campy freehubs can be fitted easily. Zipp tubeless valves, lock rings and spacer are included. These are tubeless ready, but can also be used with tubes if you want. These are great for road or gravel riding. Bearings in rear were just recently replaced. Both wheels are straight and true.
