I feel like there was also a lot of difference in physical strength involved as well. Something too many people underappreciate in high level downhill.

Movie Review: Long Live Chainsaw is Exquisite & Devastating
Start winding down what exactly? Our undying appreciation for one of the best to ever bless our sport as well as the hearts of every single person who ever had an interaction with him? No thanks

Photo Epic: Big White Slopestyle Best Trick
Saw a video of Myll sending a double flip up at BW this weekend. Guess it wasn't in the comp, but it's awesome seeing more and more new faces showing up in the competitive scene!

@jason114: Yeah, I know, just another example of people making up plausible, but likely fabricated, reasons/excuses for how they ended up with banned substances in their system.

With a team built jsut to plan everything for him, it is absolutely impossible for any of these guys to "accidentally" take a banned substance. They will always make these claims since you aren't guilty until it can be "proven beyond a doubt" but I just don't see this being accidental. Kind of like how difficult I find it to believe Rude test positive for a banned substance for "taking a sip from a fellow racers bottle". They both seem incredibly far fetched to me.... Especially considering Richie never seemed to disclose who the bottle belonged to and we never saw the rider receive a ban; which, to me, indicates that it was his bottle sadly.

I am a die hard DH fan having raced - admittedly not against, but - with these guys but I have to say that Emil seems the obvious pick to me. Watching the way he battled back from looking like a cancer patient to become the man everyone was watching was absolutely inspirational. Everyone one of these athletes is absolutely god tier, but the way Emil overcame all of the adversity he faced was absolutely next level, especially at such a young age!

Video: Bernard Kerr Picks Up his New Bike for the Anaheim 1 Supercross Race
@novajustin: you’re an idiot. You literally just complained about how people don’t take MX seriously and then did the exact same thing to professional mountain biking. You’re right though, if you’re trying to do base cardio training, not pro mtb athlete would go for just two hours on the road bike; that isn’t nearly long enough. At least it wasn’t considered a solid training block for me, a guy who almost never even qualified at World Cup downhill races. So I guarantee on the fitness side mtb athletes are on par with pro MX riders, you just think MX is cooler and can’t appreciate both for some reason.
