@gigamike: Point taken. I'm not trying to create an argument. I'm trying to voice my opinion and observations, in hope that both sides can benefit. Manufacturers won't know what consumers are thinking unless we tell them. If my Pikes made the same noise (like you're insinuating by sending sounds of Sam Hill's Lyric), I wouldn't have noticed how noisy the Fox fork is, right?

@foxfactory: Thank you for acknowledging my question. While I have the privilege of this dialogue, I'd like to suggest designing it out of the future forks. I never heard this noise on my Pikes, which leads me to believe it's not a "necessary" sound. Perhaps you're creating turbulence at the "nozzle" and a more laminar flow would eliminate the noise? Bike companies are going to great lengths to quiet bikes. I suggest Fox do the same. A pinkbike poll titled, "Loud Hubs - Yes or No?" revealed that 1/3 of consumers would, "prefer to be a ninja, rolling silently through the woods".....

Now Finished: Fox Factory Ask Us Anything
Hello, I just switched back to a Fox fork after spending the last 5 years on various different Pikes. I'm pleased with the performance, but I'm frustrated with the noise I'm hearing on rebound. I think I'm hearing the oil pass through the "valve" on rebound. This is a 2020 FOX FACTORY GRIP 2 36/170MM (OE on a Yeti SB150 T2). Is there a way to reduce/eliminate the noise I'm hearing (different oil maybe)? I understand this is a common sound on most/all 36's. I can't be the first person looking to eliminate the sound. Thank you for your help.
