Seb Stott's 2024 Predictions
@threehats: spin faster through a rock garden defeats the whole “less pedal strikes” thing.

10 Things I Loved in 2023: Seb Stott
To all the new parents on pinkbike: the double kid trailer is the place to put your money. We used the expensive jogging stroller for only about a year. Trailer does everything and more.

Field Test Review: 2023 Nukeproof Giga 297 - Is Parkduro a Thing?
@Austink: Agreed, when the slayer first came out with 180mm, I was super excited to have the best of both worlds. The minute I took the rental out on the trail, I said there is no way I can pedal this for 30 miles. Ended up with a Canfield the one2, can pedal if needed, but much more of a DH bike.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: What Pinkbike's Editors Actually Carry on Rides
Band aids are a waste of time in my opinion. Minor abrasions can be fixed at home. I have the life saving stuff: hemostatic gauze, turnoquit (tube), and a wire mesh splint with triangle bandage. Freak accidents happen even to the best ie Cédric Gracia. Most of us won’t be riding a two-track next to an open field like he was. Hope for the best prepare for the worst.

Slack Randoms: Boat Camper Bikes, Chainless Champs, Rocket Kart Fires & More
I can’t understand the polished video, I mean that’s $10,000 right there. How could “The team” convince people to pay for tens of thousands in prototyping? I guess crypto is too risky. Boatbikebed seems like a terrible idea, but wtf do I know.

1997 Lemond Zurich single speed/fixie

$150 USD
Very nice Lemond Zurich converted to a single speed with flip/flop hub. Front brake only. Mechanically sound, couple of rust spots that came when I bought the bike in 2007, garaged ever since. Best fitting and handling bike I’ve ridden at 6’1” 34” inseam, I just don’t have a need for it anymore.

Field Test: 2023 Yeti SB140 - The Traction Finder
Had mid stroke support problems on sb66 and now sb150. I guess the x2 has a bumper, so that’s been my progression on anything more than 3’. Vpp is damn efficient, but it it is not the most fun. Santa Cruz solved something with the low shock mount I first rode on a nomad, but I’m sure it bobbed a lot more.

Yep and with xl seat tube lengths the way they are, I’m gonna need to buy that 240mm dropper that doesn’t exist.
