Is anyone surprised really ? How can you make something so ugly even if it works and expect it to sell ? I'll count my down votes later after work.

Quick don’t let the UCI see this they’ll end up cutting roots out of all tracks from now on and introduce new safety rules such as “steel toe cap MTB shoes are compulsory”

I get it but also now they don’t get paid at all so even if the money goes up for the next round overall I bet they are missing out, once again the sport is dangerous and people will get injured but surely they are all on retainers from sponsors and make extra money from views and shares and so on from social media so once again they are missing out on thousands if not millions of fees which doesn’t help with them earning money only hinders it, it’s also another missed opportunity to preform and possibly show sponsors why they deserve more money or pic up extra sponsors or even get poached by bigger sponsors! Maybe someone with more of a business marketing and commonsense should be part of these unions and meetings And if they think this will hurt redbull as they have nothing to televise, MTB is prob one of the smallest parts of their business and it won’t hardly make a difference and to be honest you annoy redbull and they pull out of MTB altogether and then everyone’s going to suffer a lot more than they think they are now.

This could of happened in a training run or pre season testing on any track at any time or at the first race of the actual season so there isn’t really any difference, teams don’t want riders to go out and try without pushing the limits. The part of the track where he crashed wasn’t exactly crazy like we see in Val Di Sole, and you can’t expect every tree to get cut down. What if Bernard’s bike snapping in half caused him to miss the season would what would your comment be then ?

Don't they state these bikes are just lugged for a prototype stage and the final product will be full carbon oce they get geo and so on dialled in ? I think a lot of bike may of cracked or broken with the amount of forces that went through that frame and the angle of the landing, these things happen look at GT brand new DH bike it snapped clean in half in front of the world but people like Danny Hart are riding it without the same issues and Greg's V10 a few years ago I know it hit a tree but look how many other bikes (even the same models) have had similar crashes and nothing has happened. It was a freak accident that happned on the world stage the amount of bikes that break while testing and not being seen would probably shock everyone but you don't get to see or hear about it
