What's Hot & What's Not? Pinkbike Editors' Picks For 2025 Tech Trends
I disagree (to an extent) I think low engagement hubs can give more chain slap, which is often a red herring for the crank-yank-cause. If you ever put 18t ratchets in a dt hub though, it seems to make feedback worse in my experience. I’m working on this though to understand it more haha.

Video: Is Radial Really Radical? Understanding Schwalbe's New Sidewall
@R-M-R: 2. That's fair. I just have spoken to hub manufacturers, who have told me the exact opposite. Truthfully, it's not a hill I'm ready to die on but I think picking it apart for what is clearly a general visual example is a bit... I don't know... well, not for me, anyway. 3. Honestly, I think it depends on how we define some of those terms, and what parameters they set. I don't disagree that you're probably right in what you mean, but I think it's also possible to read it several ways. I think you could make either point.

Video: Is Radial Really Radical? Understanding Schwalbe's New Sidewall
@freestyIAM: That's fair. I think there is a healthy amount of skepticism, and rightly so, after I've been reviewing bikes for PB. Just for clarity, I wanted to make a change and decided to stop reviewing bikes to pursue commercial projects and videos. I hope people understand in time that I'm not going to be giving on-record opinions about products (I might still talk shit if you find me trail side), but just explaining tech that I find interesting, all while being able to choose which brands I work with. I think the fact that people are skeptical is a sign that PB's editorial department is in good health and respected.

@tpg512: You're very close. In the video, I compare the traditional and radial casings from Schwalbe. You're right, though; it is sponsored content. You can see that in the article tags, the video, and the article. Thanks.
