Pedaling Innovations Catalyst Pedal - Review
Bought a pair. For me they work exactly as described, more power delivery when pedalling out of the saddle. Most noticeable on climbs. No disadvantages that I am aware of.

Pedaling Innovations Introduces the Catalyst Pedal
I know that I don't like to pedalling through the ball of my foot the whole time, especially on long rides. I will find out if they work for me once I get the pair I just ordered. Good luck James, I hope your patent claims are water tight!

thats interesting, I have used EX729s in the past but I think they are actually too stiff and seen them crack. I have got on better with a lighter rim that has a bit of flex, even for downhill. I used to think 721s were old hat with their rim brake sidewalls, but I have never dented mine, nor have my riding buddies. Never got on with DT Swiss FR5.1s, 6.1s or the "YT2020" rims that came on my Tues, all have dented way too easily for my liking and I have always had to use tyre levers with DT rims which I can avoid with most rims. Happy to admit that it just my own anecdotal experience though and not statistically significant

DMR V12 Mg - Review
yep, knackered some £185 nukeproof neutron mag-ti pedals on my their very first outing at Glen Coe, but that was rock strike tearing four pins out rather than weather, managed to glue some pins back in and they are fine on my smaller bike, definitely wouldn't use mag again for DH
