Personal reflection: After 13+ years in the sport and on Pinkbike I started to find MTB media not exciting anymore. I've seen a bit of everything and it came down to the point where there was no more stoking content for me. But this... Damn, felt just the same way as 10+ years ago watching NWDs and getting pumped up to ride. Pure pleasure reignited.

Sony HDR-AZ1 Action Cam - Review
I'd pick a Sony no matter what. Let's face it, GoPro has a big marketing and they were pioneers but Sony makes optical/electronic stuff for years. Their experience in making video recording devices has a great outcome in quality of the eg. HDR-100 recordings. Even some youtube comparations show what's up.
