Hot take: you don't need an "excuse" to ride e-mtb's. It's just fun as shit. I ride my regular bike some and my e bike some and you know what? They're both fun and I no one needs an excuse to ride either kind of bike

The New Orbea Rallon RS Almost Isn't An eMTB. Is That What Riders Want?
I bought this bike on EP when I worked at a shop like 3?4? years ago. Stupid cheap. Thought I was gonna flip it after a year for max profit but it is SO MUCH FUN I now have 4600 miles on it. Highly recommend this bike for normal-bike-price, but not MSRP.

I think the bigger issue is that in 3 years of bike shop work and more than a decade of self-mechanic-ing, I've never seen a new rotor come out of the box dead straight.

Can a DH Bike Work for Enduro? We Converted a Pivot Phoenix to Find Out
I did this with my 2020 Demo and the main problem was that (with a 200mm dropper) the seat angle was so slack, so much weight over the rear wheel, that I was bottoming out the shock on bumps while climbing uphill. Had to be sitting at 60% or more sag.
