"In Good Company" - A film about the importance of mountain biking to a community
I have read most of the comments on here. Surly forwarding the link to this page so that Mark Mauren can see the video and see peoples comments would perhaps open his eyes, not just to the immediate problem on "his patch" and the anger it is causing, but also try to represent the mountain biking community elsewhere. This problem is common in most states and countrys I persume. (Well it certainly is here in the UK unfortunatley) I suggest that someone who has his email adress forwards this page onto Mark Mauren so that he can see the reasction that this has caused not just localy or nationally, but internationally accross the mountain biking community.
Change has to happen and its going to happen in three ways:
1) The goverment changes its attitiude and accepts Mountain biking as a sport and starts providing locations for people to do it legaly. This woould both create intrest in the sport, and as shown in the video economic and social benifits to the local community.
2) The goverment doesnt change its attitude and all trails get driven "underground" so that it becomes an secret, secluded sport.
3) Mountain biking dies as no one has the facilites to enjoy this fantastic sport legaly. This will have massive detremental economic and social consequences to local people and biking internationaly.
Good luck to all the people who are involved in this process and I hope that you get the outcome you want and everyone on Pinkbike wants!
