Don't stop there... you can then add a cable from your electronic shifter to your main battery for complete battery integration...

I mean really neat feat of engineering... but once you decide to wire-up a dropper, why not just make it cable actuated? If the whole idea is not to worry about battery life... a good old fashioned cable and the near limitless power of your thumb also doesn't need to worry about battery life. Maybe lighter too... It just seems like a case of "just because you can doesn't mean you should"

Would love to have RC back on the podcast one of these days. The two part series with him and Levy was super insightful and his take on e-bikes and trail access was been etched in my mind. Would love to hear his take on the recent state of affairs of e-bikes and the sport.

I'm all for technology enabling riders to ride more farther/faster/safer etc... Its your time and money and I won't judge folks for how they use it. But I'm also all for people investing in themselves. You can buy watts. You can also build them. I happen to prefer the latter. The suffering is an aspect of the sport I have suprisingly come to love. Being able to see clear progression with each bike ride was immensely satisfying and something that I hope people don't shortcut to simply enjoy the power an ebike can put out. Again. not against e-bikes but simply love pleasure that follows the pain of draining ones own internal battery.

Interesting. I'm on a bike with ~435 chainstays. Size 9.5 feet. Also left foot forward. No issues clipping my feet on the derailleur. Just to add to the data point(s).

Spot Bikes Launches the Diggity 125
Great looking bike! Using a leaf spring and only have 6 bearings to achieve some solid kinematics while reducing maintenance... if I hadn't recently bought a short travel bike, this one would be on the short list as my next one.
