Awesome. What’s with the beating around the bush with head injury concussion chat in interviews / race reports. If someone hits their head their team should be transparent and proud of handling it properly. ie, pulling their racer out to let them recover properly even if they have mild symptoms. If someone breaks a bone teams don’t hesitate to discuss that and say what a savage crash it was and share hard core photos of athletes in casts.

Field Test: 9 XC Bikes & the Grim Donut VS Impossible Climb
Mike is it a rule you need to do these climbs sitting down? They'd be way more manageable off the saddle :)

Raw Video: Lightspeed Trail Annihilation with Kasper Woolley in Squamish
Nice work Woj and Kasper! Rode Kasper’s few days ago and that half fallen over tree by the triple I assumed had come down recently but apparently it’s a trail feature haha. Makes it that much gnarlier!

Video: Unpacking the Geological History of Squamish Through Mountain Biking
So sick Will well done!! I always thought this would be a great link to demonstrate the local geo! Pamplemousse was a super cool to see as I went the first half is diorite then you hit the flow half way down just at the bottom of the chute and it turns abruptly. The trail gap is on a volcanic boulder. Way easier to build with the angular granite up top. The pyroclastic flow from round mtn that makes all the locally known “pudding stone” on 19th hole and grizzly meadow also super interesting. Such a uniform slope never allowed soil to build up. It’s about 1m or less below surface everywhere up there. Hence the challenging machine work with griz meadow. Stoked you did this!

First Ride: 2021 Evil Wreckoning
Can someone please explain to me why companies are not fully embracing steeper seat angles? Like 78 , 79 etc. What’s the down side? I see these redesigns they see to be missing the mark. Surely sales would improve if they made the change

Often in these you can hear the struggle in their breathe before anything even happens. Maybe a sign to call it off ??

Really impressive how much effort goes into risk mitigation and training on these moves. Pro really are pros!
