Video: How Greg Callaghan's Family Helped Him Get to the Top of the EWS
a few years ago, on Cube bikes they did a spot light on him called 'against the odds' and it was like what? he was born and raised on a bike, was there any question ever that he'd make his career on a bike. this one is more like it.

Video: Katy Winton Shares the Difficulty of Finding Sponsors for 2021 in 'Keeping up with Katy'
fit with brand values? don't bike brands value winning/podiums and sales? is there anything else in pro sports? if looking good on the bike counts, she's gorgeous so that might count for something?

pro sports and entertainment. you've geared your entire life to get to/near the top and who knows if any work will be there. not my idea of a career, but i've got sympathy for her and the many like her.

9point8 Fall line 31.6, 200mm

$200 CAD
global bike part shortage!! buy now before everything is gone and upgrading comes to an end forever! great dropper, i had 2 of them. sold one with my Smuggler, and took this one off my Patrol to keep it for the next bike. turns out i was smitten with a bike that uses 30.9 so i've been hanging on to this one for no good reason and am releasing it back to the wild. made in Canada, no really. hard to believe. pros: best seat clamp in the business, very easy to take saddle off without messing with angle adjustment. works beautifully and very smooth. locks into place solidly. great high end cool factor (this was $500 when i purchased it). cons: highly engineered with lots of little parts and seals. rarely temperamental, but does need to be kept clean and well lubed for optimal performance so needs this attention. i rebuilt and serviced these myself and have every tool from 9.8 to do so. brake tool, pin tool, extra seals, seal head nut, etc. all is included of course. no remote or cable though. i will also provide a quick lesson, if interested, on how to do basic service. will ship intergalactically for the right buyer. any questions, just ask.

Interview: Laurie Greenland's Coach, Olly Morris, on Faster Rebound Damping & Riding Technique
@betsie: confidence, strength, etc. would you believe that pro hockey players often go down a flex number in their sticks part way through the season because they are not as strong in the upper body as at the beginning because they've been lifting so hard in the gym. weird eh. there is no perfect set up and that's why the pro DH'ers are on the psychiatrist couch with Jordie after every run trying to figure it out.

these guys have mad braking skills. there can be no chink in one's armour to ride a trail like this well. always a pleasure to watch Remi and friends.

i'd rather drive/ride/camp and enjoy this amazing area than speed through it with extreme suffering. but i'm fucked up that way.
