I ride a EMTB and have a newborn at home. I’m able to get out for a ride 2-3 times a week and with my E-Bike I can get in about 10 - 15 miles and 3500 vertical in about an hour. When I ride my Spire on the same loop it would take close to 3-4 hours which would result in my wife saying I can’t go ride. The convince of E-bikes has allowed me to continue the sport I love and still get in a great workout. If you want to slog up the hill and that’s what you enjoy most go for it no ones stopping you! I don’t understand why people hate on them so much when there isn’t a single study that shows the significantly damage the trails. Also if you’re riding up a fire road and coming down single track there is zero extra damage. Unless you’re saying a guy who put on 20 lbs shouldn’t be allowed to ride your trails. Go get outside and ride whatever you want, the amount of people that are douches about riding e bikes has made my wife not enjoy the sport because she’s constantly worried about people saying something.
