$2200 USDEvil following v1
The good:
Barely used
Everything is in great shape
Recent tune up
Again the bike was barely used. It was a warranty replacement frame.
The bad:
This is a v1 if that bothers you
Limited rear shock options
120mm drop post a bit short by some people’s standards.
No pedals ( I have some spds, if you want them)
The neutral:
xt/ raceface 11 speed drive train (light and reliable with a modern gear spread) 11-50 rear,
140mm/120mm travel
Here are the specifics:
The cranks front sprocket bars and stem are all raceface turbine. The bars and stem are the 35mm models
The brakes derailleur and cassette are xt. It is 11 speed. The wheels are stand flow. The chain is new but I have a brand new one in package I will put in the box as well. The brakes are 180mm in the front 160mm in the rear.
The dropper and rear shock are rockshox and the front for is a fox factory 34 (the top model with all the adjustments.
The seat is either a large wtb pure v or medium rocket take your pick (the rocket is a bit nicer and brand new).
The headset is an fsa and the bb is raceface.
The tires are maxxis with an ardent 2.4 in the rear and a Minnie dhf 2.5 in the front. The rear is pretty close to new and the front has 2 rides on them.
The bottle cage is a specialized carbon cage.
The pedals on it right now are xt trail platform (small platform) spd. But I have other pedals if you prefer.
Not the lightest build but not heavy. I live near downieville and had torn up a lot of bikes on the trail before I just myself. So the intention was a bike that would last.
Beyond that like I said most of the stuff is close to new if not new. I just hurt myself before I got a chance to use it much. The cranks front sprocket bars and stem are all raceface turbine. The bars and stem are the 35mm models
The brakes derailleur and cassette are xt. It is 11 speed with a 11-50tooth rear (sunrace, I know not the best reputation, but it’s actually great, this is my second one). The wheels are stand flow. The chain is new but I have a brand new one in package as well.

All New DMR SLED Exclusive First Look - Core Bike Show 2017
I am a bit confused about this bike. Not the color (yikes you people are pissy) but engineering. Why have a multi pivot bike to control axel path when a concentric link at bottom bracket should eliminate the need? I thought the point of placing the pivot in line with the crank spindle is to eliminate chain growth and pedal feedback, solving all sorts of suspension issues. Then all you should need is a single link to control leverage ratios and your set, why add a layer of complexity?

The Impossible Bike: Carbon Built Here in the USA - Sea Otter 2016
I love the idea of buying a (somewhat) locally made bike. That is also happens to be a damn nice looking bike. However I did the math and it is 36% more then my frame. Does it look like that bike has better build quality, for sure. Does it look 36% funner to ride, no way. Tossing around the idea that $1000 dollars difference is a simple matter of ideology is just silly or stupid take your pick.

Aug 10, 2010Specialized Bighit 06
$1600 USDThis is a 2006 specialized bighit. Technically it is a bighit I, but it really does not matter as all the frames were the same and the only stock item left on it is the seatpost.
Frame: Large Bighit (I painted it white), new bearings.
Fork: 2007 fox 40 (I painted it black), recently rebuilt.
Shock: DHX 5.0
Headset: Chris King
Seatpost: Stock
Seat: WTB Laser V
Bars: Truvative Team DH/XC
Stem: Truvative Hussifelt
Breaks: Xt levers, Saint front caliper. XTR rear, 8" rotors
Shifter: 2010 SRAM X7, new model with aluminum lever
Derailleur: 2010 X7 shortcage, this and the shifters have not even seen the trail yet.
Cranks: XT with FSA 36tooth DH ring
Guard: Gamut P38
Wheels: Transition revolution 36
So there it is. I have injured my self and will not be riding this anytime soon. I am in no hurry to get rid of it, but won't be using it so it needs to go.
Will trade for Road bike of equal value.
