May 5, 2022Santa Cruz V10 Carbon - Syndicate Replica. Size M.
$4000 CADSelling my 2011 Santa Cruz V10 Carbon Syndicate Replica. 1 of only 100 available to the public. (#21) Size is medium, but feels more like a large. (I'm 5'11" and it feels perfect.) Used for three seasons and has been collecting dust since. This bike retailed for almost $9,000 new with titanium hardware just like the racing team. Adjustable rear travel, 8.5 and 10". Fox Racing DHX RC4 rear coil shock. Rockshox Boxxer fork. WTB Silverado saddle with Ti rails. Chris King headset and hubs. Avid Elixir XO brakes. (two new sets of pads included) Chain has less than 0.75% stretch, drive train good to go. Weight is around 36 pounds with pedals. The paint has chipped around the shock mount on the frame, but it is only cosmetic.
Upgrades include:
RaceFace SixC 31.8 Carbon Handlebar. (785 mm, uncut)
Point One Racing - Split-Second direct-mount, (limited edition w/ ti hardware) nickel-plated stem.
RCS titanium rear coil spring. (not sure of spring rate, maybe 450 or 500 lb)
Shimano Saint shifter and rear derailleur.
DT Swiss FR600 rear rim.

Tech Tuesday: Adjust the Pivot Bearings on Any Santa Cruz VPP Suspension
My 2011 V10 carbon has been creaky all season, but it's the bolt at the adjustable travel plates at the bottom shock mount that are the problem on mine. Every few days you have to take it apart, clean, grease and re-assemble to eliminate the creak. (it is loud folks) Spoke w SC about it who say they will deal with it one way or the other, but so far just ask me to grease and try it again basically. Gonna to send some steel parts to replace the ti ones, somehow I don't think that'll do it. Bike is great for a few days until the creak returns making the thing sound like a Walmart special! Not too happy to say the least!

Pinkbike Welcomes Richard Cunningham
Are they gonna try to change the terms "freeriding" and "downhill" to a general term "black diamond" here on PB now? Found his old mag a bit of a rag due in large part to an arrogance about biking in general. Hope he's gotten over his feeling of self-importance...PB is too good for that kind of attitude!
