@opignonlibre: Yeah. I don't get it. Is nobody going up trails they need to occasionally walk up anymore? Whether it be gradient or traction I certainly do, and (Peak District, UK) so do a lot of riders. smaller gives give me options. I'd bet most people are using the top of the cog more than the bottom and it's more of a limiting factor in their riding.

i think my tyres are round already? or have i been conned by BigTyre?

Yeah surprised this got a negative. Presumably it's within the suspension design? I don't really see a negative in smaller front rings. I walk a hell of a lot more than I spin out the small cog Also makes me feel fat and unfit so there is a non bike angle...

- Photo was expert shortlist then public vote. - Venue was UCI Teams - my guess is that only venues holding both XC and DH could reasonably expect to win - Rookies voted for by elite riders. And for what it's worth elite men there's 17 French, 20 USA, 13 GBR, 11 CAN, 11 AUS, 5 NZL, 2 ESP, 4 ITA and 1 SUI. So at least in the mens no real French bias. Maybe North American politics played more of a part? Or maybe giving it to someone who hasn't won the real prize is a kinder thing to do? So no French bias really!

Agree. I feel like we need "Who can", "Who could", "Who should" and "Who would" articles for completeness

What's fascinating is that a load of racers and teams will have got different points in 2025 vs 26. You'd think that say Vali or Jordan might have thought 'I got 250 for the win last year'?

and in other news all the points awarded for Elite finals were wrong....

In this, 'post deemax' era, wheel desirability is inversely proportional to the size of the rim logo.

I feel like Jordan should get more of a shout out in the predictions. 2 wins and a podium and a bunch of other good results and not one predicted top 3...
