Opinion: E-bikes are Breeding the Components Riders Want
@WAKIdesigns: My old RS totem had CSU creak every few months in 2010-2012. in 2014 I got a Pike that lasted about a year before creaking. Now I'm on the 2017 Pike (for almost 2 years) and it doesn't make noise at all. I am definitely no less of a hack and my less than 14kg bike has sent regular shuttle laps and Crabapple hits. Where is your god now? Without incremental changes nothing would ever get better.

Video: Miranda Miller vs. Claire Buchar - Pinkbike Hot Lap
@jonnyboy: oh hell yeah. You have to be insanely fast to be near the top on those trails no matter the advantages/disadvantages. So many insanely fast locals and pros coming from all over the world to ride there.

Also conditions of the trail and recent maintenance play a huge part in the speed you can hit some of those corners! The strava crew can post the top times in mint conditions with some GPS glitches for help but the Freelap and dusty conditions is a nice control!

Review: Formula Neopos Air Volume Spacers
@kopaczus: Do you replace dust wipers and oil in your fork or shock? those are generally more than 30 bucks every 100 hours? what about grips? chains and derailleur pulleys? shift cables? brake pads? Pivot bearings? its silly that these should be replaced but I bet a mountain bike cost about 500 to 1000 bucks to run for 100 hours if you pay retail and do all the "recommended" service. That's why no one does it.

Video: Not Your Typical XC Ride With Chris Akrigg
@WAKIdesigns: Oh everyone should always up their skills and power, good luck getting close to Akrigg's level. If you work full time then maybe spending some money on nice bits to help level the playing field isn't the worst eh? What if riding is meant to be enjoyable and so even if I am a decent climber with decent fitness I want something that makes it easier? I honestly hope no one comes into obstacles thinking they're impossible without certain bits but you gotta admit 29ers do roll over lumpy rocks and carry speed better, and shorter cranks will have more ground clearance.
