Review: Zink Vacay - The Responsive Freestyle Specialist
It’s FSR suspension. Look a like to those frames you mentioned? No, sweet summer child, they are all spawns of Specialized Stump Jumper. Specialized patent ran out a decade ago, that’s why so many frame manufacturers were able to copy this kinematic layout.

Rumor Roundup: Things That May or May Not Be Happening In the Bike Industry
@BiNARYBiKE: but that’s 8 years later right? I know your comment it to prove me wrong, but 8 years. We got 2 competing companies to flourish. It takes 2 years tops to fix an electrical issue so glaring. And it was probably as simple as changing the material of the capacitors and better housing. Which the technology existed 8 years ago. It’s just raw unfiltered negligence on the sales and design team. It’s like going back to intel after they F***ed the 12th-14th gen CPU and too zero accountability till everyone called them out on it.

Rumor Roundup: Things That May or May Not Be Happening In the Bike Industry
@kashimadaddy: for me, they never fixed the most glaring issue, the battery. After the Hero 5 Black, the battery life and stability was never the same. Extreme heat or cold the system would brick up. And per reviews, this was a problem from Hero 6 - Hero 10. After that, I stopped caring for that company. They kept adding features without fixing the existing issues. Rylo was a great camera with a better software package. I say its spiritual successor is insta360.

Gee Atherton Shares Hospital Update After Heavy Crash in Bolivia
@warmerdamj: no dip s*** because if you've been alive long enough on pinkbike, reddit, and instagram, you would read plenty of comments blaming it on him using carbon rims, that's why they snapped. Or do you still live under a rock. Idgaf what a pro riders rides and what wheels. Or did you dumb*** miss the part where 50% of the UCI pro DH riders run DT swiss EX471 because it is their lightest weight rim, which means lower unsprung mass. What's the point of your comment? I just read a mule clammering to chime in for a topic that he doesn't know exist in the MTB community.

Gee Atherton Shares Hospital Update After Heavy Crash in Bolivia
I know someone going to make this comment. They are aluminum rims not carbon. Hopefully people aren’t so blind they can’t see the kink in the picture. Yes, aluminum can snap. If you go beyond any metal Ultimate tensile strength it will snap. I’m saying this because there is always that one ignorant child “must be using carbon rims”. While said ignoramus didn’t bother to open their eyes wide enough.

5DEV Introduces US-Made Jumpline Flat Pedal
@avg-roadie: and I said to each their own. Meaning IDGAF what pedals you use. I’m going to use Sensus Crue or tenet. You can use trail one, the cheap plastic ones from Walmart, primo pegs, crank brother stamps, etc

First Look: The Ministry Cycles x Yueh Zahn High-Pivot Trail Bike
I’m probably just a pessimist. But with Chris having cancer, I hope this doesn’t go the way of Sick Bike co. I recall last time pre orders frames was a thing. Granted, people only have to commit $100. I do hope people get their frames for this pre orders.

5DEV Introduces US-Made Jumpline Flat Pedal
@avg-roadie: I got 4 pairs of Sensus Crue. I’m not really planning jumping ship to another brand. And yes Sensus Crue did go on sale. Pretty every time a rider has won big at rampage, It goes on sale for buy 1 get 1 50% off. So when Cam Zink won, I stocked up. Sensus sponsors the majority of that line up. I think they even had a sale the following year for Kyle Strait (not crashing on the same line). For tenet components. Trail one is $10-$20 more expensive compared with the Occult. Trail one plastic pedals are dirt cheap though. But to each their own. I use my money how I like, and you use your.
