Apparently you didn't watch and he explains. It's kind of a proto bike being tested for weight and BB location which has several positions to move the BB around.

@mikekazimer: Sometimes maybe the rider doing this does not own the right bike for such a maneuver and their skills level are average to compound the situation. Then there is the big wheel effect on the back of many bikes, that is working against for say- a short rider attempting such a move and putting them in bad position to manage the technique, to do certain maneuvers in highly technical- steeper- gnarly terrain. This is a reason i believe that bikes designed for these types of terrain should be more of a Swiss army knife, having the ability to change format and geo, with companies taking strong consideration for the MX or full 29 options, without changing the suspensions performance, allowing shorty to pull off the same move as his giant friend on the same bike. When truly dissected, there are always many other factors to consider. But please people for goodness sakes.. STOP dumbing down or sanitizing our trails! If it doesn't work for you just go around, make a B line or swallow your pride and walk the section....keep going back as you progress to run it in again and again and again....... until the confidence says go for it and you are filled with achievement then high five your bros!!

@swagner2: WTF did you crawl out from under a rock? *Urban= Commuter bikes without suspension having traditional old skool frame designs flat or sweep bars to accommodate an upright position using "GMS grips" *Hybrid MTB= Using more modern frame designs for pavement commuting and off pavement- gravel road or rail trails exercise bikes , Kinda similar to a cross bike without drop bars and real skinny tires, but utilizing front suspension / mtb gearing / mtb brakes / flat or riser bars and with fatter but still skinny fast rolling knobby tires. DUH!
