Helmets do help prevent brain injuries, no arguing there (except Protec helmets, which most BMXers wear, they are not exactly good...)
However BMX is a very different sport to mountain biking. Its much lower speed, infinitely more predictable terrain and usually, before the crash happens you know its coming and can easily bail out.
Should people who do parkour also wear helmets?

The Santa Cruz NZ Enduro Opens for Registration this Sunday
This race is the absolute definition of New Zealand mountain biking.
Most of the trails are gnarly and highly technical, the scenery is mind blowing and the atmosphere is one of the best I've ever experienced.
There are heli drops and a van shuttle. Not so it's easier, just to pack in more rad!

Niggles would be the cranks are a little scratched and the rear wheel is a few mm out of true.
Otherwise in excellent condition.
