You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a bike and that's pretty close

Trip of a Lifetime
Wow amazing. That is definitely going on my bucket list. Will keep an eye out for Jacky on the blue Santa Cruz next time in Flims!

video
I've been looking at this bike for a friend, as an entry-level / first mountain bike. Video looks good (although would love to know if the bike survived that jump!) Would you recommend it?

Straight Outta Verbier with George Brannigan - Video
Verbier also has a nice blue line, very flowy with smaller jumps and lots of berms. If you're going to Verbier this season, try and make sure it is on the weekend, as the top section lifts are only running weekends for the last part of the season (that includes top of Rôdze). I haven't visited a lot of bike parks, but there are many to choose from in Switzerland. Crans Montana is nearby Verbier, small but beginner to advanced tracks. There's also Portes du Soleil and Saint-Luc near by (although I haven't been to either place to give a recommendation). If you are in the north-east of the country, in Graubünden, Lenzerheide is a must, and Chur Brambrüesch is also close by.

Destination Trail: Tasmania with Troy Brosnan
Love Derby and North East Tassie! I wrote about our December visit to Derby, unfortunately Blue Tier wasn't finished then. Stacks of fun, really recommend checking it out :) http://www.pinkbike.com/news/tassie-taster-discovering-north-east-tasmania-2016.html

Tassie Taster - Discovering North East Tasmania
The trails are definitely better than the photos. I'm not a crack photographer, but the bigger issue was we didn't want to stop most of the time, we were having too much fun :)

Crans Montana: A Beauty from Switzerland - Video
Yes, you can take the gondola to Plaine Morte and do the famous tour back down to Sion.

Review: Scott Contessa Genius 700
@Tamasz, maybe also check out the Alutech Fanes. A friend of mine got one recently and is shedding on it. The price is reasonable (and it's in Germany!) and the standover is only 670mm.

Have a look at the Pivot XS bikes. I'm 157cm and ride a Mach 5.7. Bonus points: as they're not "female specific" you can choose to go either with a pink bike (if that's your thing), or one of the standard colours.

Preview: Kona's 2015 Lineup
What a refreshing thing to see: a well spec'd bike that's also available for small riders. Looks like Kona have been listening, not all short girls want 120 mm XC bikes. If only the P 167 was also available as XS, it'd be top of my shopping list.
