Behind the Numbers: Norco Sight
Curious to hear Mike Levy's comparison with what he's mentioned is his favorite bike of 2019 and "most capable trail bike I've ever ridden" the Pole Stamina 140? Most of the new big brand trail & endure bikes are following the geometry trends established by Pole, Nicholai and a few other boutique brands. As a long-low zealot, I think it's only getting better with this trend.

Review: Yeti SB140 - Little Wheels & Lots of Fun
Mainstream companies going 75% of the way there on geometry is a marketing ploy. This is a Pole Evolink 140/160 wanna-be that is already outdated. To quote a certain PB tester/writer; "Pole's Stamina 140 is the most capable trail bike and best bike I've ridden in 2019". So Yeti builds a scaled back version that they can tout as obsolete in 1-2 years. The only people I see criticizing progressive geometry (long wheelbase, reach, etc) are people who've never actually ridden a bike like that.

Review: Deviate Highlander - There Can Only Be One
@ajp1: I tend to agree but Levy saying the Pole Stamina 140 was "the most impressive bike I rode in 2019" [when Pole not only doesn't do any advertising on PB and whines about their treatment (since owner Leo is socially inept)] seems to call that sentiment in question?

Pinkbike Poll: What Field Test Bike Do You Want to Try?
What a sad status quo statement on mountain bikers in general. Most prized ride... the Specialized. The company that said they’d never build 27.5” bikes. The brand that simply rips off all the cutting edge brands but only very slowly so as to barely push boundaries one millimeter at a time. Ugh:(

Yes and keeping in mind w/o the Pole Stamina 180 it's a partial test. I get that they tested the 140 in Trail Bikes but in every other test that bike is the benchmark for fast descender which "IS" the point (also happens to climb very well).
