Video: Mike vs Mike: Geometry Battle - Specialized Stumpjumper vs EVO
@gbeaks33: I ride a Pole Evo 140 medium size at 1280mm wheelbase. The 1UPUSA rack works perfectly and mounted on a VW Alltrack the bike is still narrower than the side mirrors so no issue. I mean no disrespect but it appears most folks commenting about modern long-geo bikes being hard to transport (or hard to get around corners) have likely never ridden them:/

Video: Mike vs Mike: Geometry Battle - Specialized Stumpjumper vs EVO
@mikekazimer: First off, I appreciate your skills and knowledge period as you usually bring a fresh spin to learning about new mtb technology. Thanks for that! That being said I'm puzzled as to why you would choose to compare geometry on a brand that simply copies most of their tech. Specialized had no part in pushing modern geometry and in fact once publicly stated they "have no plans to make 27.5 wheeled bikes". I recognize that they produce some excellent bikes but they're spin-offs of other companies technology, proven by others efforts and $. Nicholai, Pole and Mondraker have all been some of the brands on the forefront of this design/geometry revolution, not Specialized. Feels a bit like catering to advertisers when an article like this appears and I think you're better than this. Really, you are!

Bikeradar 2018: "Pole and Geometron showed the way here. Many testers (myself included) were initially shocked at how well these bikes climb. More recently, the Bird AM9, RAAW Madonna and others have adopted this steep seat angle philosophy. It’s the future, folks." If you haven't ridden one of these bikes you really have nothing speak from. Most people will come to love the new geo bikes... 3% of folks won't love anything but the past. Good luck with that mate!

This is laughable. The geometry battle that Specialized had no part in pioneering? The company that said it would "never" make 27.5" wheeled bikes, lame. The forefront of this geometry revolution is Nicholai, Pole, Mondraker, etc! These brands are making the next generation of mountain bikes, not big-box-ripp-off-queen Specialized.

Video: SRAM's Wireless Eagle AXS Drivetrain Explained
Love the technology of it BUT... I'd rather Sram make a system that isn't alway just out of tune! 10 years of Sram and Shimano and my Sram systems are always off, two weeks on then not quite right for the next month. Shimano has been bomb-proof for me. I'll take smooth shifter function over glitchy tech. Work it out Sram!

Good Month / Bad Month: Racing, Affordable Carbon, XTR, Illness & Injuries - January 2019
I'll wait on Shimano for sold reliable shifting. Sram Eagle has been far too delicate needing constant attention and never holding a tune. Shimano systems for me, have been very consistent and take much more abuse. Viva La Shimano!

Review: The 2019 Pole Machine Has a Serious Need For Speed
I get so sick of all the armchair critics who read the numbers but have never even seen a Pole in person. P-l-e-a-s-e go ride one before you offer your useless critique! They're unlike any other bike and as such take some time to adjust but once you do... they are revolutionary! Like Mike says, they have no competitors.

Bike Check: Joe Nation's Pole Stamina
More comments than any post in the past few weeks says they're doing something right. Oh, and the bikes are amazing to ride... everywhere! I happen to own one but figure people making negative comments have never been on ANY Pole bike:)

Bike Check: Joe Nation's Pole Stamina
Pole Evolink 140 29" (140mm rear/160mm front) is a magical bike with similarly progressive geo. Climbs & descends anything... anything!

The 10 Year Challenge... for Mountain Bikes
These bikes seem amazingly similar to each other! I'm surprised that none of these riders have made a shift to the more progressive end of geometry:/
