@KingPooPing: helis can stay longer in the air, have better range and can carry a better camera onboard. Drones are great for small courses or short sequences but you can't get the same shots as with helicopters.

First Ride: Cannondale Moterra SL eMTB - Full Power Without the Weight
I've unlocked my Orbea Rise to output full EP8 power so it's very similar to this Cannondale (minus the flex stays). It's awesome, but the battery drains so quickly in full boost mode.

No need for it to be free, but what triggers me the most is "monthly" subscription. Just make it a season pass, host ALL races on the same platform and that should be it.
I skipped this race because I canceled the subscription in July (didn't want to pay because there were no races) and I couldn't be bothered to renew.

@kopaczus: 11 years riding MTB and I haven't had a single problem with the dangling bits. I'm not sure who is pushing all the hype towards gearboxes but they're clearly not superior in 99% of use cases compared to derailleurs.
Yes, you shave some weight on the rear wheel but you get a bunch of added system weight and drag.
Weight and drag are also a problem on ebikes since you are limited with battery capacity. Not to mention ebikes overall weight is already too large to enjoy the trails like on normal bikes.

@effeffeff: I've had the Rise for a year. The only thing that failed is the speed sensor and it was on the first ride and I got a replacement for free in my LBS where I bought it from. Other than that, it's been running just fine.
