Matthew Fairbrother Crowdfunds For Documentary About His Self-Supported 6-Day New Zealand MTB Rally

I agree I'm in a very privileged position to be here asking for contributions to bring this film to life but I'm not begging you to help fuel any part of my life style. I'm not taking any profit from this film project, it's all going straight in to making the film, I'm not just taking handouts, there will be a product in the end which you'll be able to consume. I have poured so much of my own time, energy and money into this project and now I've unfortunately reached the point where I personally can't contribute anymore, so it's come to the point where I decided to reach out to the community to help make this happen. This film might not be for you, and that's okay but I really do hope the generous people who have contributed feel they receive equal if not more value in return once the film is released to the public.

Cheers! Unfortunately it's a pretty tough market out there at that moment, and it wasn't the cheapest project to pull of due to all of the man hours and logistics involved. Sure it'd be nice if the existing sponsors of the film could put in some more support but contracts have been signed, etc and overall they got this project off the ground running and I can't thank all of them enough for their support and guidance to get me where I am.

I honestly thought the descending was great. Not a single section a machine built track in sight, everything is natural and follows the contours of the mountains, sure there are some parts that don't flow on a bike but that's just apart of the challenge and you have to work out how to make it flow.
