@Kimura: Said who? The doctor that told you to take flu shots and you got the flu anyway? Weed is bad for farmaceutical industries because people could use it to cure diseases instead of what the pharmaceutical industry tells you to take, plus it doesnt has those side effects that eventually you will need even more pills to correct those side effects... Thats why they say its bad because on the bottom line its bad for business... Unless you abuse from it... But lets face it anything you abuse sooner or later will be bad for you even water! Wink

This is perfect. I've been waiting to see a type of "Joe kid on a Stingray" (history of BMX) type documentary on the roots and history MTB freeride. I remember in the late 90's and early 2000's when Freeriding was coming up and just like they say in the clip, no one in mainstream biking wanted anything to do with it. In the years to follow the Freeride movement, (2001-2005) "east coast hardcore" riding also began to take shape where now riders were going into skate parks, dirt jumps and street riding. Up until then, it had never really been done much or focused on until the Chain Reaction series by Don Hampton and later on with NWD2 featuring Jeff Lenosky in a full street trials with more to follow in future installments up to NWD 10.

Personally, as someone who grew up with the Eastcoast, it's great that the scene was able to gain traction and gain recognition after so many years of being brushed off as a side show to racing.
