@bodhibruh: @bodhibruh: in selected low population countries what you are saying is true. For countries with high usage of forests and mountains ebike are really straining the relationships built over decades and driving trails to be closed. Yes its all about having fun, and there are parallels with DH and Park riding, however that is usually in a remote place down trails too steep to have hikers/horse riders etc or in a Park that they cannot enter and there is no conflict as a result. No trail etiquette and riding up downhills further drives the wedge. I have often wanted to have a chat with ebikers, but by the time I am up they are long gone, they don't stop for a chat or a rest. Hard to integrate someone like that.

The difference in speed between run 1 and 2 was insane. Respect to the insane amount of skill required here and how high the current level of DH riding is.

SC was a brand that I respected because they made decision based on engineering not what the community wanted. They did not jump on hypes, they even published data and tests. So now we have a worse shock mount standard, a suspension design focused around dropper post insertion (when the maximum height for pedalling and lowest height for DH control is well under 200mm for 99% of the population).

Looks like a really good bundle! Cheaper than the new Brembo and packed with more innovations.

Every site is pushing the same narrative: Brembo has entered the market, Brembo's first mtb brake is released! How desperate is that? They re-entered the market after pulling out of the mtb market. They released their second mtb brake. They returned. Why spin that into a wanna be premiere and a new un-chartered path for Brembo?

General rules of engineering: Use standard parts were possible, reduce complexity Bike Engineers: let's do the opposite. Bike customers: more complexity and more expensive makes me a better cyclist.

thought the same... this fork line up seems to be have all the weird and wonderful ideas that never made it to production slapped on it. Lets add extra air chamber to reduce ramp up, then fill the same space with a rubber HBO. Just seems a mess.
