Sep 29, 2024Transition Patrol Lg
$2000 USDBought bike off PB before COVID and rode it sparingly due to the situation. Maybe 10 trips to Galbreath at most. I haven't ridden much since and chose my short travel bike if I do ride. So this bike is in excellent condition.
The pictures tell the parts story, but I'm happy to answer specific questions if you're interested.
The Patrol is just too much bike for my riding style so it's time to let it go. That and I really need money for a car repair.

Video: Friday Fails #199
@NCKingsting: I think it's more of a "do I trash my wheel or dive off the side" moment....

Video: 10 Riders Face The Ultimate Mountain Bike Challenge - Pinkbike Academy, Episode 1
I think they should have made them ride their bikes in the next challenge without making any changes. She would have changed her tune for sure.....

Jul 19, 2020Specialized SX Trail Custom Build
$1500 USDI had a large size SX Trail and wanted to see if the medium would be a better fit. Turns out the large fits best so I didn't ride this very much and it was mainly a backup bike. I've upgraded many parts and put on a brand new SR Durolux fork with zero miles on it. Any marks on it are from moving the bike around my garage. This bike is one of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden. A little heavy at around 35 lbs, but it's brawny and built to take abuse. I found it shined when the trail was steep with lots of jumps and berms.
There are four areas where the paint has chipped off. Two are where the shock mounts to the frame and the others are on the top side of the top tube. I've tried to show images of all. Really they are chunks that chipped off without an impact. I'm not sure what happened? I just covered them up with stickers and it was fine. Other than that this bike is in super clean condition since it's sat for most of it's life.
Here are the details:
FRAME: M5 manipulated alloy frame with 180 mm of travel, ORE tubing, ISCG mount, 142 mm dropouts, full-cartridge bearing pivots and replaceable derailleur hanger
FORK: SR Suntour Durolux 180 mm fork. I don't know much about it since it's new to me and I haven't done much research. It's supposed to rival Fox and RockShox upper level forks though. It's not the lightest out there, but it's definitely brawny enough to handle anything.
SHOCK: Fox DHX 5.0 Air with Specialized air yoke
TIRES Front/Rear: Kenda Nevagal 2.5
CRANKS: Shimano Saint
CHAINRING: Gammut 32t
GRIPS: ODI Rogue lock-on
REAR DERAILLEUR: SRAM XO1 11 speed
CASSETTE: SRAM XO1 11 speed
SHIFTERS: SRAM XO1
BARS: Race Face 800 mm
STEM: Specialized 35 mm
BRAKES F/R SRAM Guide RS
SADDLE: EVO
SEAT POST: RockShox Reverb
WHEELS: Sun Ringle A.D.D. Pro
CHAIN GUIDE: MRP guide/bash guard
PEDALS: Kona WahWah
Extras include- two extra rear shocks, one with a yoke, that I was experimenting with when converting from coil to air. Original manuals for both the frame and fork.
I'd consider trading for a 160 mm large size enduro bike like a Patrol, Capra or Process in similar condition. I'd give the bike plus $$ if that works for you. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

Ask Pinkbike: Over-Forking, Missing Bolts & Anti-Squat Energy
McMaster has a HUGE supply of everything fastener related. I'd be surprised if they couldn't supply some sort of solution. NOW I'm sure there are a few instances where they can't help as there are always the exceptions, but for the most part they are my goto.
