@chococlove, they cant do it that way because they base points off of how clean the trick is and what trick it is. a clean 360 would be more impressive to judges than a 360 with a slight foot dab to stay up.
I like the judging on this. I'm surprised Peter Henke didn't take it with a double flip at the end. Soder had the better run & it was recognized as the better run. Henke killed it though, but ya gotta trick every hit. There's no excuse for sailors & set-ups when you're goin' down a hill. GJ Soder.
I heard a lot of people complain about Soderstrom finishing first but his run was crazy! Ok not much new but a crazy run. And if style counts in these events Martin was well ahead! But i didn't see Genon's run...
Honestly, that was a questionable judging... When I compare the run of Pilgrim and Genom to the Henkes run I just can't believe that Peter won. No disrespect, but the backflip from the flat drop is suppose to get more points than the suicide no-hander, Peter didn't do anything special in his run except the duoble backflip (and for those who say it was off-axis: no, it wasn't- rotation was strictly not-corked it was just a difference in the strength of pull in the left and right hand of Peter). Sam was going 100% and 720 maybe doesn't look as stunning as a double backflip, but I know personally some riders from Polish scene and every and each one of them will say that he'd prefer to try the double backflip on the big jump befor ethe 720. And the flip tundown onto a dish? Come on, that's just awful scoring...
I'm not gonna even talk about the Genons run, which almost made me shit my pants...
In the winning run subject except for the 270truckdrier on the wall there was nothing that stood out from all the rest from the other riders. I really like Martin and I remember a few events where he might have score better, but 94.6 for that? Come on, we've been all seeing the trusk and 3whips from Swed since god knows when, I agree that his style is amazing, but without the 3-triplewhip on the last jump that run was not worth almost 95 points...
Anyway, Sam Pilgrims and Genons run shoul have been scored way higher the Henckes...
come on pilgrim has no style! he has the tricks but its more like doing them somehow and landing it. södi is a style machine and derserve the win so much! he makes everything looking so sweet
Yeah, which is understandable for he has dominated for two years. He deserves to take some time away from competition and just enjoy himself on his bike with friends.
Wahoo Martin !!!! So much style that dude has an so smooth. His end jumps are just bang n huge tricks an the bar spin 270 on the was epic . Go martin !!!!!!
Don´t think that Henke deserves the 2nd place except of the double flip there where nothing special... is there a full recap anywhere wanna see logan peat!
Martin did a backflip for once in his run! I think that's the key man, too many 360s and now he goes upside down and wins! Learn opposite tailwhips and dominate!
I don't do DJ, or trick air, I'm a DH guy. But love watching this slope style... What's it called when they 360 with the front end pointing down? That looks wicked! Haha. Proper love it
hard to really see the crowd. most spectators on hillside that the run is filmed from. But, of course, will never compare to Crankworkx. I dont think the promoters do a good job getting more industry folks here. Not much else for the fans to do, so no other reason to come up to the festival.
There were a fair bit of people there, just a bunch of sally's. No one was yelling or getting crazy. I was pretty disappointed in the crowd.
But the event was incredible! Hope they continue to come back, and it starts to get the turnout it deserves...
like 360 get 6p, flipwhip get 10p, or corked720 get 10..
please explain
Well Soderstrom himself seemed to be surprised... refer to the end of the video
