Bike Checks: 3 Slopestyle Bikes From Crankworx Innsbruck 2018
@makripper: ha ha. They were absolute turds. ‘97 Judy XC’s were my first forks. They were like a nerf gun on the front of your bike because if you landed a jump or a drop heavily enough, the spring and elastomer would shoot out of the top! The top caps were bloody plastic. I had some RST Mozo Pro 4.5’s too. They were the days.

Bike Checks: 3 Slopestyle Bikes From Crankworx Innsbruck 2018
@makripper: the ‘97 Judy looked ace but was utter piss to actually ride. Horrible things. The Z1’s I replaced them with were from another planet.

Five Ten Impact Pro Shoes - Review
The price of flat shoes is getting nuts, especially when 5 10's don't last well. I like the Freerider for mucking about on my bike bike, but for longer rides they hurt my feet (I can feel the pins through the soles). I have a pair of Impact VXi's which I use on the trail bike and they've not lasted that well. The soles look battered with big chunks missing. The grip is good, really good but the longevity and price don't stack up for me - I'll give some Shimano GR7's a whirl next (had to borrow some old AM41's the other week after forgetting my shoes and they were actually really good).

Throwback Thursday: Wade Simmons' & Shaun Palmer's Legendary Bikes
Palmer was just cool as fuck though. I was 13 when he crashed into the scene in a whirlwind of attitude. The M1 he rode was cool (that paint job), but the black Spesh FSR with Manitou’s was even better to my eyes.

RockShox Boxxer World Cup - First Ride
@Balgaroth: it Was Fox in conjunction with Shimano who they tend to buddy up with on OE stuff - Shimano struggled with 20mm due to their continued use of cup and cone bearings. As a result 15mm gained tracrion despite not really being lighter than 20mm and not as stiff. Nuts. SRAM are to blame for a lot of silly stuff, but not 15mm.
