Field Trip: Stoic vs Sentier vs Twostroke vs Fluid vs Growler - Value Hardtail Roundtable
Vitus have downgraded the brakes on the 2021 bike. They’re 410’s with the crazy long levers.
My 2020 Sentier VR has the 501’s with the shorter lever. They’re plenty powerful enough and feel on par with Deore’s I’ve had before.

I agree.
I rode SPD’s many many moons ago before swapping to flats. I’ve dabbled in clips from time to time but can’t get in with them. I think you loose a lot of feedback like in corners when you drop the outside foot. In those situations the float feels unnatural to me.

Field Trip: Vitus' $2,000 Mythique 29 VRX - The Value Trail Bike Defined
I agree. I bought one as a winter bike an for riding with my little boy.
It’s not cool or sexy, but it’s a cracking spec, seems well made and rides pretty well. Stuff like decent tyres and a god fork swung it for me. Too many of the other bikes I was looking at had really bad tyres or super basic RS forks, no dropper etc.

They’re good little forks. Have them on my Vitus hardtail and it was them that swung if in that bikes favour over the basic RS forks on other bikes.

It’s it that bad.
I have a Sentier VR hardtail for winter riding, family rides etc and that has SX on it and it seems fine to me. The worst bit is / was the shifter which I swapped for a GX one which just feels a bit better. It’s easier enough to set up and hasn’t exploded yet. The cassette is a boat anchor but it’ll do until it wears out. It’s perfectly function but doesn’t feel as nice as the GX / XO1 11 speed combo on my other bike.
