How Much Are World Cup Racers Paid in 2024? - Pinkbike's State of the Sport Survey 2024
I’m curious as to if teams/sponsors pay for rider’s housing and other living expenses in addition to their salary?
If so, then the $50-100k range doesn’t seem *too bad - for a younger, single rider at least.

Pinkbike Poll: What's the Duration of Your Average Weekend Ride?
@tacklingdummy: I’m not saying there aren’t shuttle rides that you cannot climb. I’m saying there are many trail systems that aren’t able to be shuttled, so saying that an ebike (which can access these trail systems) are no different than a bike park or shuttle route isn’t necessarily correct.
Either way, I agree they’re not going anywhere and we should plan for them on the trails as much as I don’t like it.
My main concern is effectively being passed nonstop by ebikes on climbs, interrupting my climbing/experience. The more e-bikes proliferate, the more times I’m going to be expected to let them pass on my ride. So either keeping them off some trails or building climbing trails that are wide enough to allow them to pass without me having to pull to the side is an important design consideration.

Pinkbike Poll: What's the Duration of Your Average Weekend Ride?
@tacklingdummy: It is a bit different. Shuttling and chairlifts are typically limited to a certain area whereas an Ebike can (and do, despite trail regulations) go wherever.
