Apr 10, 2026Specialized Enduro S5 (Frame-up Build)
$4000 CADPurchased this bike from the Bicycle Cafe in Kamloops in fall 2021. I rode it consistently through 2022, taking 2023 off due to injury and returning to occasional riding in 2024-25. At the end of last season I invested in considerable upgrades and new parts for the bike, listed below. If you want one bike to tackle everything in BC, from the shore to Kamloops to the bike park, this platform would be it – it was ahead of its time in 2020, and Specialized has left it unchanged for a reason.
I built the bike up from the frame, selling the original build parts when I bought the bike.
Bike shows minimal signs of wear. Some minor scuffing on the frame’s clearcoat, outside of the Ridewrap areas, has been touched up with epoxy to protect from UV damage. The fork was rebuilt in fall 2025, and the shock was also purchased new in 2025, when I switched to a coil. Several other items were updated last year, including the brand new Oneup dropper (V3) and new Oneup bars. Wheels/tires are brand new from Specialized, no rides on them, as of Spring 2026. Frame bearings serviced last fall, ridden once since then. Derailleur will be adjusted and brakes bled prior to sale.
Specs:
- 2021 Specialized Enduro Frame, S5
- 2024 Fox 38 Factory – Grip X2, 170mm, with integrated removeable mud fender
- 2025 Fox DHX2 CS – 600 lb spring
- Specialized Roval Traverse 30mm Rims (new)
- DT Swiss 370 Hubs (new)
- Specialized Butcher/Eliminator GRID tires (new)
- GX Eagle 12x Groupset (cassette, cranks, chainring, derailleur), new chain fall 2025
- Shimano Saint Brakes, 200mm Centerline Rotors, Metallic Pads new fall 2025
- Chromag Dagga Pedals, Silver
- Chromag Hifi 35mm Stem
- Oneup V2 Handlebar, 50mm rise
- Oneup V3 Dropper, 210mm
- Chromag Squarewave XL grips
- Chromag Trailmaster DT saddle
- Wolf tooth Dropper lever pro, espresso lever
All original accessories are included with purchase (swat bags, tool, etc), as well as a Shimano top bleed kit for the brakes, two sets of brand-new organic pads, protection grommets for the fork valves for use in the Whistler Bike Park, and a full new set of bearings for the frame. Can include left-handle Specialized bottle cage, as well as the right hand, if needed. Bike registered with Specialized for extended frame warranty.
More photos available upon request. Pickup in Point Grey, near UBC. I also go up and down the Sea to Sky often, and to Kamloops. Can work out a drop off if convenient.

Apr 27, 2021Specialized Demo 8 I Carbon
$3500 CADReluctantly posting my Demo up for sale to downsize to one bike for the season. I purchased it new in 2018 from the Bicycle Cafe in Kamloops and have been consistently upgrading it since then. Haven't ridden it a ton since starting university, a few days here and there at Sun Peaks, the ranch, and Whistler. I am 6'4" and the XL is a good size for me, I'd say anyone 6'0" and above would be happy on it. Spec as follows:
2018 Specialized Demo 8 I Carbon, XL in Black/Green (27.5") - Frame protection film redone last year. Full bushing and pivot service with all new hardware at the bicycle cafe last year.
200mm rear travel through a Specialized/Ohlins coil shock, as the bike came with - still one of the best rear suspension setups available in 2021. Comes with a 503LB and a 543LB spring. Rebuilt by Ohlins last year.
200mm RockShox Boxxer Team (Charger damper, coil-sprung BlackBox fork with Firm and Extra Firm springs included with the bike). New seals and service last year at the Bicycle Cafe.
Chromag OSX 35 bars, BZA stem, Overture LTD saddle, Dagga Pedals, Squarewave XL Grips
Truvativ descendant cranks, some cosmetic wear
Raceface 36T NW Sprocket and a specialized top chain guide
Full SRAM GX DH 7spd Groupset (Derailleur, shifter, cassette, freehub)
SRAM Code R brakes, 200mm Centerline rotors - bled and
Specialized wheelset, replaced the rear with a brank new Spank rim in black/green
Maxxis Minion DHF tires F/R, the rear could use replacement after this season
The bike has been well-maintained regularly at Cafe and Dunbar since new, and is the perfect bike for shuttling or park - I am going to miss it. Open to offers, and if you are on the coast I will be back and forth between Kamloops and there for work over the next few weeks.
Cheers
Max.

Apr 1, 2021Giant Trance Advanced I
$4000 CADReluctantly posting my Trance up for sale to downsize to one bike for the season. I purchased it new in 2018 from the Bicycle Cafe in Kamloops and it was something of a dream build for me. The bike climbs insanely well and rips in the rough stuff, and is perfect here in the interior and also down on the Shore. I am 6'4" and the XL is a good size for me, I'd say anyone 6'0" and above would be happy on it. Spec as follows:
2018 Giant Trance Advanced I, XL in Black/Green/Yellow (27.5")
140mm rear travel through a Fox Float Factory shock, trunnion mount and Kashima coated
Fox 34 Float Factory, Kashima, Fit4, 150mm travel
Chromag OSX handlebars, HiFi stem, Trailmaster DT saddle, and Scarab pedals
Full Shimano XT groupset with an 11-48T cassette
XT brakes, 180mm rotors, fresh pads, and bled last month
Giant carbon hoops, giant boost hubs, freshly trued
Maxxis Minion DHF Tires front/rear in a tan sidewall, brand new last fall, 2.4"
This bike has been well maintained regularly at the Bicycle Cafe and Dunbar Cycles in Vancouver since it was new. Open to offers, and if you are down on the coast I am there often and can bring it down if you are serious.
Cheers,
Max.

Jun 10, 2020Kona Big Dew
$800 CADI've had this bike for the past year and it has been the perfect commuter bike for school. I won't be heading back to the coast in the fall so now is the time to part ways with it. I spent a lot to make this thing dialed and it hasn't let me down. The build list is as follows:
2019 Kona Big Dew.
Kona Bars, Stem, 700C Rims, Seatpost, and Saddle.
Shimano Alivio Hubs.
Shimano Alivio front/rear mech, chain, cassette, sprockets, cranks (one has been replaced), and shifters.
Shimano hydraulic brakes (140mm rotors front and rear).
Lezyne water bottle cage and collapsible pump
Blackburn pannier rack (Can also include Blackburn frame bag)
Blackburn rain fenders (front/rear, included but not pictured)
Chromag Contact pedals (included, not pictured)
Schwalbe 1.75" Road Cruiser Tires, purchased this year
Pinhead Antitheft System - Requires a unique key (which I have) in order to remove the seat post, front and rear wheels. Best antitheft system available.
Abus Bordo Lock - Comes with two keys, solid and reliable lock, mounted as pictured. Worth $165 alone.
The bike has been regularly maintained at Dunbar Cycles and the Bicycle Cafe and is in near-new condition. It is ready for any commute you could throw at it, and for long days on the backroads as well. Let me know if you have any questions, want to come to take a look, or would like to meet up somewhere. Shoot me an offer!
