@Arierep: I completely agree. I sit firmly in the aluminum camp however a carbon bike came up and I couldn’t pass up the deal.
I think it’s probably with manufacturing and the ability to hydro form/bend the aluminum tubing to get the carbon properties but in a more durable material.
