Trek Slash 9.8 - Review
The new trek looks pretty sick, might be a good option for next year's steed!

Marzocchi - Ask Us Anything
my interest is to increase the stiffness of the compression by adding to the overall diameter of the clamp shim. so to take it to a 12mm instead of the standard 11mm should make the compression feel tighter and still maintain the stock thickness and diameter of the original stack. I tried to find something similar in size a the depot but I don't want a washer that can rust or corrode in the fork. I would like to try a 12 and 13mm to see how it will affect my compression range. The 11mm will pivot closer to the shaft and allow more shim flex. the 12 or 13 will increase clamping surface on the shims and make it generally stiffer allowing less flex from the shim stack off the face of the piston correct?

Marzocchi, Thank you for answering my questions earlier. I have another question that I hope you can answer for many of us that are very aware of the history of Marzocchi and the people who left to form DVO. What is your take on DVO and how quickly they are gaining strength in this very small market? they have some very interesting technology in the suspension that they are offering and it seems like they are very knowledgeable with suspension and are very willing to share the details of early development and design with the general public.

I'd like to know what you're actual marketing strategy is. I was a long time marzocchi fan and ever since ATA I was never wanting to go back. I bought a 380 from my friend because it was really cheap, but I'm not all that impressed with it. It seems like you guys are really making a push in marketing and the stuff you are doing is really cheesy and stupid. Like the light saber fork thing and the "do you enduro" is so damn stupid. My suggestion is to make real products that actually work and let them do the talking. Other than that, may the forks be with you!

Appreciate the response, I want to change the pivot location and I need a bigger clamp shim. Where do I get it?

I thought this was an "ask me anything" thread not a copy and paste show. Funny how you guys make this huge deal about answering people's questions when your competitors have been answering comments on everything they post.

Dear Marzocchi Techs, do you recommend sticking with the 11mm clamp or changing to a 12 or 13 mm clamp to change the pivot location of the stack? I am wanting more compression from my 380 but would like to play with clamp shim not intire stack. I have some shim but am not comfortable because i can't mesure the thikniss. where do i get bigger clamp shims?
