11 Innovative Products That Inspired Other Brands To Follow
What about wide bars? Anyone knows who started this? I remember my Cannondale Gemini already had 740mm bars back in 2003 - which I found crazy wide at the time :-) - but you started it? Perhaps also Manitou should be honored for bringing long travel single crown forks to us riders. Their Sherman having 150mm of travel (little later 170mm) was considered pretty crazy, too.

Throwback Thursday: Opinion - The Argument For Short-Travel Bikes
Mountainbiking is a lot about buying bikes - so sure, go buy a 140mm trail bike to hone your skills! Is so much more fun than your 160mm enduro bike. (Actually - I don't get. Just pump some more PSIs into fork and damper, choose your tires wisely, and voila - your enduro goes trail ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

Tech Week 2023: Clever Cockpits - An Adjustable-Width Bar & Dual-Diameter Stem
Really cool! I have to admit: I like adjustability and fiddling around! There's a mistake in the article: Each grip will be just overhanging for a maximum of 25mm (which for sure is plenty enough) - not 50mm as stated.

Opinion: Stuck in the Middle - World Mental Health Day 2022
Labeling may help to accept what is. We are all different. You are a unique human being. Think of your capabilities. Who would miss you if you were gone? What would be missing on this world if you would not contribute? This world is all about experiences. Stay curious, keep exploring! Thanks for sharing, deep respect for your courage and openness. You are not alone, my fellow seeker. Eckhard Tolle "The power of now" has opened my eyes. But it is still hard to see. Oh - and of course: Mountainbiking is worth to take a whole lot of shit!

Wolf Tooth Releases New GeoShift 2º Performance Angle Headset
In case there weren't any spacers below the stem before, mounting a headset with higher upper cup forces you to mount your stem higher which causes to reduce the "effective reach" of the whole system determined by frame angles, flip chip flipping, overforking, mulleting, lower cup height and fork mounting angle. Btw, great to have a 2 degree option for 44mm steerer tubes. Maybe this will enable me to build up old 26" frames for my kids with decent geometry. A high upper cup for sure alters the reach - the "effective reach" to be picky. That is because you can not mount your stem lower than the upper cup of the headset allows.

Pinkbike Poll: How Much Further Should the Longer, Lower, & Slacker Trend Go?
I think geometry needed to change because the riding changed. Way more lift assisted, shuttling, bikeparks nowadays than back then. I don't see that riding will change again to such a degree. Well...besides from e-bikes allowing gravity assisted type of riding on flat ground. I think DH bikes havn't changed much (geometry-wise) during last years for a reason.

@allsk8sno: DPA at least I say. But companies want you to buy three bikes instead. BB needed to be a tad higher though.
