Throwback Thursday Interview: Gee Atherton Remembers the 5 Biggest Crashes of his Career
Me too. And not just his riding (which was incredible). First and foremost, he came across to me as a very decent person.

Field Trip: Kona's $1,499 Honzo - An Overgrown Dirt Jumper
I go for weeks at a time without reaching for my Druid. My steel Honzo upforked to 140mm is THAT good.

Review: Six Months on Structure's Wild Looking Cycleworks SCW 1
@hamncheez: You may be right, although this is from Owen Pemberton himself: "...Because of the increased lower chain growth, caused by the rearward axle path of the Druid, it is often required to run less B-tension than that recommended by the drivetrain manufacturers..." Anyway, sorry for the derailment. I am going to get in touch with Loni and ask him about the HSP option and whether he has considered it. I know that some Druid owners, even with the stock DPX2, say that no fork can match it performance-wise, air or coil sprung. That's been my experience too (although I just swapped out my FIT4 damper for a GRIP2, added a Luftkappe, and replaced the DPX2 with an 11-6).

Review: Six Months on Structure's Wild Looking Cycleworks SCW 1
@DavidGuerra: HSP? No discernible pedal kickback on a Druid despite massive chain growth and significant AS. On this point, maybe Loni and crew should think about an HSP design to fully max out the Rube Goldberg machine thing they have going on (before anyone hammers me on this, I own a Druid - some of my friends jokingly refer to it as the Rube Goldberg machine). As an aside, Loni and Structure hail from my home town - the Structure literally sits on the floor of my LBS. Like it or hate it, it's super cool having some local innovation. I love these guys, their passion, and their fearlessness. I wish them nothing but good luck and success in their pursuits.

Review: 2020 Kona Process 134 CR/DL 29 - A Quick Cornering Trail Bike
@ATXZJ: Hey man. Good to cross paths with you. As you know, I own a Druid and currently have 5 Konas in my garage. I love them all. Yeah, the Druid is sweet AF. No doubt. But my Honzo is fkn dope. So is my Unit. There is something about Konas. Yeah. They are overpriced. And they look like they have been dragged through a SRAM factory with a shit magnet attached but still. Rip em apart and build them up like they should be and boom. Magic. I'm preaching to the converted. Aren't I?

5 Bikes From the House Show 2020
No. I have an early model idler and I have not dropped my chain even once. Don't forget - there is an E*13 chain guide over top of the idler pulley. From Owen Pemberton in an MTBR thread: "...the changes to the idler pulley were to help the Shimano chain mesh correctly with the pulley teeth. On the earlier version there was some interference with the shaped inner surfaces of the Shimano chain."

@shredddr: l ordered an 11-6 for my Druid Dec 2 during Push’s sale. Unfortunately it’s been delayed and I still do not have it, despite having paid for it almost 2 months ago. A correction to the write up...a few extra links of chain are required for the large Druid frame as well, not just the XL, as the article states.

Field Test: Affordable Hardtails - Marin San Quentin 3 vs Specialized Fuse Comp 29
@ARonBurgundy: my Honzo ST with a 140 36, a 2.5 DHF/Aggressor combo and a 35 SixC bar goes every single place my Druid goes. With ease. And a fk load of fun. Zero harshness. The thing absolutely slays. Sometimes I go for weeks without riding my Druid, because the Honzo is killing it.
