Pinkbike Poll: Would You Rather...? Rampage Edition
@mikekazimer: please review it, on the front of a spesh epic. Frequently mention that it's too heavy, the able to crown is too long, and it hits the frame on steep climb switchbacks.

How Much Do 2026 World Cup Downhill Bikes Really Weigh?
@Zimbo665: most F1 teams spend $135 million per year and not one provides their drivers the best possible performing equipment, because you are chasing a moving infinitesimal point and the very idea is flawed.
Back in the real world, knowing the weight of the bike and other parameters is only helpful if you are building a digital twin for simulation, which is completely impractical for DH. All you can test in such a dynamic environment is what you have and the changes you make to it, and your only methods of testing are stopwatches and sensors. If you'd like to go shake up that world with your groundbreaking statistical analysis then they'd welcome it, but honestly there are smarter engineers than you and I who are already there trying.

To be fair it's the belly that adds the weight, the bike only adds ~5kgs.

Beyond Gravity Announces Race Commentary Team for 2027 Event
Unpopular opinion, but I think Warner's incredible at it. I understand that someone coming from snooker or tennis might find him a bit much, but for getting you jumping out your sofa arms in the air screaming along at the TV, no one beats him.

How to Get Your Kids Into Mountain Biking
@pedrujo: This isn't therapy, if you need to speak to someone about your relationship with your father, you should go see a professional.
The fact is, if you just let kids do whatever they want all the time they'd just watch tiktok and eat sweets and be miserable. Most good things require encouragement, and so far learning from other parents has been invaluable to me.
