I ride at Afan frequently and have to say that the 4X track is in need of renovation and is mostly avoided by the regulars in favour of the newly built skills park.

try spraying a bit of wd on the inside of it it might be getting stuk inside maby? but i never did that when i had it so it might be that or you dont have enought tention of teh cable

That's a dura ace, XTs are not that shiney (they're matte) and you can see some of the writing.
