Enjoy this video of super slow-motion mountain bike downhill shots, captured during the iXS Downhill Cup 2011. It's pretty neat how high speed cameras like the Phantom allow us to see exactly what is happening to a bike in just a short second.
i would be surprised if there was a member on this site who doesn't love to watch suspension work. i find myself always looking for new mounting spots on my bike to watch my suspension work; i find it can be useful as a great visual aid in tuning my suspension.
FYI - This is the first video on Pinkbike.com that I haven't been able to to watch on my iPhone.
Just watched it on my PC and hory shet that was fun to watch. I want some high def super slow mo instant replays this year!
1:40 - look at the lateral torque movement in the rear swingarm of that Evil!
Some wheel flex for sure but if you watch the rear triangle, you can see how much it corks. I'd like to see a bunch of different frames ridden by the same rider hooking up through a gnarly corner.
too bad they didn't focus more on body position in the video. Bike setup means the bike will work well, but the body position makes the difference in how you get through the section fast or not.
Love it...As a few people mentioned..Love watching the bikes in slow motion...If anything it really lets you figure out how a bike really travels over terrain.
