29" vs 32" Wheels: First Ride Comparisons on BMC’s Prototype

There must be advantages to placing the rider more in the center of mass. Can't see this not taking off in XC at the very least, the advantages and tradeoffs seem like a no brainer for racing.

Sunn was ahead of the game by two decades, not only in their bike & suspension designs, but also their development program. They also looked the part, I mean as has been said, the gear and the bike from that era, the Radical Plus, look almost as if they came out of 2025. Spotted: A 32" BMC XC Prototype - 2025 Andorra XC World Cup

You have to admit that this is cool. The only thing that legitimately surprises me is that we're seeing an XC prototype before a DH one, when the gains in a 32/29 mullet bike in terms of rider centre of mass for DH would be enormous.
