I think his specific complaint was that the servo wave levers felt like you had to pull through an amount of travel that wasn't powerful enough to get to the stopping power you wanted. Maybe the new Shimano levers without servo wave will fix that.

I could be wrong since I haven't seen stills, but from the videos it looked like Hattie was on a Nicolai with Manitou and other sponsor-correct parts. There isn't a Gamux enduro bike, correct?

@Sambolo: Amaury did that Val di Sole run on Dirty Dans with a radial casing. He uses the casing, yes, but not the Albert tread.
Schwalbe themselves admit the Albert tread pattern is not for ripping DH, but for all-day trail/enduro rides. It's in the Albert press release.
