2025 Pinkbike Awards: eMTB of the Year Winner
who really cares about their stupid points system. what actually matters is price. this article doesn't mention the price of this bike. you couldn't possibly ask for better proof of how entirely unserious this website is.

YT Attempts to Rebuild After Bankruptcy With Aggressively Priced Limited Edition Tues DH Bike
@Mtbdialed: ya. i've commented on this site a few times about this and i always get plenty of upvotes but not enough to prevent getting downvoted into oblivion. i simply have a hard time believing that there are many other brands out there that can ever compete with YT, as you say, by offering enough added value at their much higher price points.
my hot take is that bike reviews are therefore largely just a waste of time. Pinkbike reviews exist in a fantasy realm where price is just one factor among many, as opposed to reality where price is 95% of the story.

also, "4444 as an angel number" -- is Pinkbike deliberately trolling DoubleCrownAddict?

brand loyalty in the mtb world is such a weird thing. as if in the real world everyone on here doesn't shop according to price as the overwhelmingly most significant decisive factor

Which Full-Power 2026 eMTB Is Best? Here Are the 6 Contenders
@Andrewfdennis: why am i so dumb? YT bikes cost half what all the legacy brands charge for builds with identical components. i get that there are geometry and suspension differences, as well as customer service and warranty support differences, but my position is that these differences can never be significant enough to overcome the ENORMOUS price difference, unless a person is exceptionally rich and cost is not a factor for them in choosing a bike.
you may disagree, but it's a reasoned argument, that surely makes you hyperbolic claims of dumbness appear rather ironic

Which Full-Power 2026 eMTB Is Best? Here Are the 6 Contenders
didnt watch. the answer is YT decoy because it cost waaaayyyy less than anything here. i'll die on this hill. bike reviews are a complete waste of time unless you are absurdly rich. don't whine to me about customer service. YTs are just way too cheap for anything else to matter. (canyon occasionally can compete)

plus lets not discount the enormous benefit of infuriating DoubleCrownAddict every time one buys a YT

@KolaPanda: but this is exactly my point, I just dont believe that the average rider breaks enough stuff that paying double for this peace of mind you describe could ever be justified.

@michaelheinrich: thing is that with the way their bikes are priced and spec'ed it doesnt matter. every. single. time. i see a bike review on this site i'm so confused why anyone cares what specialized or scott or trek or giant are doing, when YT and Canyon builds cost half. maybe pinkbike readers are at another level and break enough stuff that customer service actually matters to them? for us mere mortals theres no way to make the math on any legacy brand work
