@jpb1227: Is there a bike CO-OP around? If so, I'm sure they'd love some if they're in decent shape. Or a NICA team?

Head to Head: 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy vs. 2020 Norco Optic
@conman1395: That explanation is fine for the fork steerer, which I wasn't asking about. Thanks for confirming the torque is equal, which is what I already thought and Stumpclumper seems to agree. I'm curious to know why a frame maker would set that 30mm as the max spacer height. Is it actually part of a contract with fork makers for safety/warranty or as I asked above, part of the total torque in the system?

Head to Head: 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy vs. 2020 Norco Optic
@mikekazimer: This always confused me a little. I'd never run so many spacers, but I've got a 30mm rise bar plus 25mm of spacers on one bike. Is it the combo of the too many spacers plus a riser bar that often means someone got a size or two too small (heavier rider plus added leverage) that could lead to frame failure? I'm sure you guys must've pondered such things from time to time.
